Qtrax and Warner/Chappell publishing have signed a licensing agreement. The deal however does not allow Qtrax to offer music from Warner Music Group’s artists. The service is first required to secure publishing rights which is followed by recording rights. No word on when such a deal with Warner Music Group might be reached.
Qtrax inked a deal with Universal Music Group last week and also has deals with EMI Music Publishing, Sony/ATV and TVT Records.
Thanks Nate
Alice in Chains continue to write for what could be their first studio album since their 1995 self-titled release. Guitarist Jerry Cantrell recently told The Pulse of Radio, “We’ve been working about the last four months, and there’s a good bulk of music and a good body of work so far, and we’re having fun, and you know, we’re taking our time and trying to figure out where William fits in and where we need to step up, and I have all the confidence in the world in the guys. The most important thing to me is that we’re all together and, you know, it’s been a tough and painful experience at times, but it’s been very rewarding at the same time.”
A release is expected by the end of the year.
Hinder have titled their sophomore release ‘Take it to the Limit‘. A release is expected later this year.
Thanks Nick
