Powerman 5000 Stream New Track

Posted on November 18th, 2008 by Chris

A new track from Powerman 5000 titled “Super Villain” is now available on the bands MySpace layer.

The band has completed work on their new studio album and will possibly be releasing it in phases online in the coming months. A tour is set to kick off in January, dates can be found here.

Thanks Nate

Pretty good. This is what the band should have released like in 2003 as well as originally released the Anyone for Doomsday (im sure Spider wishes he never pulled that album from shelves…). Sticking w/ the sci-fi rock was the way to go the whole time

The Transform and Destroy What You Enjoy albums were not really what this band was all about. (hence downhill since pulling doomsday)

the ‘anyone for doomsday’ cd was solid

but…

their heyday was ‘tonight!…’

Couldnt agree more with you guys. VERY glad to see them back in this genre. Was highly disappointed they didnt continue with Anyone for Doomsday as well. There were some very cool songs on that.

Wow, it’s nice to see them head back into this style. I have a feeling it will be too little, too late, but I’m pysched either way.

I liked Mega Kung Fu Radio myself. I thought Transform was really good, but Destroy was a little lacking. I don’t agree that they had to stick to the sci-fi style since Mega wasn’t completely about that. People always seem to leave that album out when talking about Powerman.
