This is a great marketing idea…i won’t personally buy any of it, but I imagine tons of their die-hard fans will.

$12 for a bunch of MP3s!?! And FIVE vinyl? NIN ‘Ghosts’ was only four, and that was a 2 CD set. Oh, and ‘Ghosts’ was only $5 for FLAC.

This is definitely a step in the right direction.
The misconception of the Napster battle was that they were fighting for their labels. They were really fighting for themselves because they saw that artists weren’t really getting their piece of the pie. If they didn’t do something, the artists (many smaller than them) would really be screwed over.
This multiple package deal seems to benefit the artist more…and I’m all for the artist getting the bigger piece of the pie whether they’re big or smaller label artists.
