WMG Reaches Deal With Wal-Mart For Digital Sales
Wal-Mart and Warner Music Group have reached an agreement to allow DRM-free MP3’s of WMG artists to be sold on Wal-Mart’s online music store. Warner along with Sony BMG pulled their tracks from the online store in April due to disagreements in the licensing of DRM-free content.
The move leaves Sony BMG as the only major label without an licensing agreement with Wal-Mart for digital sales.
