Story Of The Year Debut At No. 18

Story of the Year’s Epitaph Records debut ‘The Black Swan‘ has made its debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart at No. 18 with 21,000 copies sold.

Other notable rock acts in the Top 50 include:

No. 38 Counting CrowsSaturday Nights & Sunday Mornings‘ - 12,000

Sales were down 8% from last week and down 11% compared to the same week last year.

#18 sounds better than the 21,000 they sold. That’s pretty weak still. I figured it’d be better than that.

Prodigal Son continues to rise on the Active Rock chart, up to #17 on Mediabase, so hopefully sales will pick up a little.

it didn’t do much for theory when “So Happy” was near #1 for 3 weeks

yea I doubt it’ll cause them to move up into the top 50, rock radio just doesnt have that much power anymore, but it should at least provide some steady sales like 5-6k per week.

They [Sevendust] haven’t been promoting their new album for shit at live shows either. I don’t know if they have just not been doing that or what at other shows, but when I saw them last weekend they didn’t say a word about having a new album out. They only played “Inside” and “Prodigal Son” live, too, so it’s not like they’re attempting to show people the new tunes. Kinda sad. It was cool to see Clint playing with them again, though.

yeah, hopefully they (7dust) come to south LA again, it’s been awhile. man, how many cd’s has daughtry sold? every week he is in the top 25….

yeah, i heard they only have 3 songs in their set off chapter 7 in the interview on rockline.
