Hard to make a judgement from a short clip like that, but I didn’t really like it that much. Overall, the song will hopefully be much better though. They don’t really sound anything like old Shinedown from that clip.

I like the clip. i have heard the song live and the song is great. they said they don’t want every album to sound the same thats why it sounds different than what we are used to. people said the same thing when Us and Them came out. it was completely different than LAW. This album should be great. Judging from songs I have heard live, it will not disappoint.

Thats awesome, and good to hear. Can’t wait to hear them live again, they’re probably one of the better bands I’ve seen live : )

Man, I like that! It sounds a little Disturbed-ish to me.

definitely different than us and them. I hope they still make a couple great slow songs… Their Simple Man cover and Shed Some Light songs are amazing. But I do like their first cd better. I would say it sounds a little more Buckcherryish. More southern rock.

According to Wikipedia this album is supposedly going to have their first true ballad on it, so I’d say they will have at least that one (should be slow) song on there, Jordan.

Here’s a new song from a show they did on Buckethead radio show back in September called “The Crow and the Butterfly”

And there’s another link on there with a song called “Carried Away” that’s supposedly going to be on the album, too.

Ha, apparently posting YouTube links qualify you for spam.

“Carried Away” was a ‘Us and Them’ b-side

Oh, thanks Chris. I didn’t know that.

There’s also a live video of them playing a new song “Junkies for Fame” on youtube. Not bad.

I thought those YouTube links were posted a long time ago?

I dunno, but I figured I would share in case anyone else hadn’t seen them either, or in case someone else missed them if they were posted before. Is it really a big deal?

the song that is there first true ballad is called “If You Only Knew” and yes it really is on the album. The Crow and the Butterfly is a slower song, but it is a full band song, not an acoustic. Junkies For Fame is also an electric song.
