I can’t believe with all the channels on TV we don’t have one legit music channel that plays videos, has countdown shows and concerts and band biography shows and everything.

I have 250 channels and there isn’t one real music channel.

There’s no one real music channel, because they generally fail at ratings.

We had a decent station called The Tube that recently went under that just played videos.

Programmers have yet to figure out an effective way to put out music.

It sounds easy enough, but putting a music intensive music channel to practice just hasn’t worked. Reality sucks, but it’s true.

I think it’d be cool if Myspace or Youtube had a way of putting out a music channel where they can play music videos, have live performances ala that Kuwait performance and find a way to mix in those traditional formats of shows.

There are tons of things they could put on a music channel…

1. rock top 10 video countdown show
2. rap top 10 video countdown show
3. pop top 10 video countdown show
4. This week in music (info and previews on CDs and music DVDs coming out that week)
5. making the video
6. concerts
7. band biography shows (similar to E True Hollywood Story)
8. Music videos

i agree w/ mattjames, and there’s too much emo stuff on fuse 2.

one good thing that i have w/ comcast is music choice on-demand music videos and they usually have some good bands as well as behind-the-scenes stuff and interviews.
