Story Of The Year Announce Track Listing
Story of the Year has announced the track listing for their new album ‘The Black Swan‘. The album will be the bands first for Epitaph Records and is due out on April 22nd. Track listing is as follows:

4. ” Tell Me”
5. ” Angel In The Swamp”
6. ” The Black Swan”
7. ” Message To The World”
8. ” Apathy Is A Deathwish”
9. ” We’re Not Gonna Make It”
10. ” Cannonball”
11. ” Terrified”
12. ” Carl Sagan Interlude”
13. ” Welcome To Our New War”
The first single, “Wake Up”, can be streamed on MySpace.

Cool, 12 full songs and and interlude. I’m pretty satisfied w/ that. I can’t freaking wait to hear the new album. One of the albums I’m looking forward to most this year besides Ra and 10 Years. The song names are just more of a teaser b/c you start wondering how this song will sound or that will sound or what kind of feeling you’ll get with them.

I have to read a book by Carl Sagan for one of my classes. I wonder what that track sounds like.

An interlude thrown into their new album? Well, that’s a first.
Carl Sagan “was an American astronomer and astrochemist and a highly successful popularizer of astronomy, astrophysics, and other natural sciences. He pioneered exobiology and promoted the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI).”
I wonder if ‘The Black Swan’ is considered to be a concept album, loosely based on Carl Sagan then? Makes sense now that there’s a tracklisting in place for all to see.
