The Used are set to begin work on their next full length album in January. The band issued the following update on their MySpace:
“For our future plans we’re going to start writing and recording in January-March, we will be playing a few shows during that time as well so keep your ears and eyes open. [...]

Live Nation will launch their own ticket service in North American and Europe on January 1st, 2009. They will partner with CTS Eventium for the service which will allow Live Nation to control customer data to create “enhanced ticket-based concert products”.

Evans Blue vocalist Kevin Matisyn has posted two new solo tracks, “For You” and “All I Know”, on his MySpace profile.
Matisyn will also be performing a solo date at Smiling Budda Bar in Toronto on January 5th.

Faktion have streamed two more new demo songs on their MySpace page, including “Burn” and “Be Here Lately”. The band is planning on recording five more new songs in March with producer Justin Thomas who they recorded their debut self-titled album with.

Against Me! have streamed a live tour video for their title track “New Wave”, check it out here. The video is a montage of the band’s most recent tour.
‘New Wave‘ was just announced as Spin’s Best Album of 2007 and came in at #9 on Rolling Stone’s Top 50 Albums of 2007.
